Paris Is Always A Good Idea

Paris-6.jpg

Recently, we had the opportunity to take a two week expedition to Europe and one of our stops was Paris, the city of love and lights! Neither of us had been to Paris before and we had no idea what to expect, other than what we’d seen in movies! Let me tell you, Paris did NOT disappoint! Between the views, the music, the art and history, the cuisine, the accents, and the fashion..Paris feels like a city that is frozen in time. From the moment we stepped off the train, the romance and beauty of Paris was what we had always imagined and we had the best time exploring the magic of the city!

While we were in Paris, we had the opportunity to stay at Hôtel Providence Paris. This 18-room boutique hotel couldn’t have been more perfect for us. When we entered the lobby of the hotel, we were greeted by a cozy fireplace, incredible architectural details, marble mosaics, and the most welcoming staff. Each room in the hotel is decorated with designer fabrics and tastefully chosen vintage furniture, and offers a fully stocked cocktail bar, 27” iMac, and if you’re lucky, a terrace with the most magical view of the charming cobblestone streets the hotel sits on. We were lucky enough to have a 5th floor room with a terrace, and we spent every evening sitting outside, sipping French wine and listening to French music while the enjoying the views of the city below us.

We spent our few days in Paris walking the streets, visiting the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and The Louvre, and experiencing the culture, shopping, and cuisine of the city. We could have spent another month in this magical city, and are already working on a to-do list for our next visit!

As a huge tennis follower (most people play fantasy football..we play fantasy tennis), and one of Rafael Nadal’s biggest fans for the last 15 years, I was so excited to visit Roland Garros, the tennis complex where the French Open takes place!
